SAKU’s CUBE
/app/cube/saku/

This is your cube's own play app. Open it or send the link to a friend.

This link keeps this version of your artwork. You can keep drawing and create another cube later.

  1. Create:Choose a cube size, then tap a face in the six-face overview to draw one face at a time on its 9 × 9 grid. Each 3 × 3 block becomes a sticker. Use Pen, Erase, Fill or Pick. Enlarge a face for easier drawing.
  2. Start fresh:Clear all turns all six faces white. Undo restores your artwork.
  3. Size:In Play, choose 2 × 2 or 3 × 3. The artwork adapts to that size, and the puzzle and timer reset. Your original drawing stays in Create.
  4. Start:Tap Start to mix the cube with 25 turns. Wait until it is ready, then make your first turn to start the timer.
  5. Swipe:Swipe along a row or column to turn its layer. The gaps between stickers work too. Short swipes finish when you lift your finger; one swipe makes one turn. Drag outside the cube to rotate the view freely in any direction.
  6. View:Move two fingers together to rotate the view, or pinch to zoom. Use +, − or the home icon to zoom or reset the view. On a computer, the mouse wheel zooms; Shift-drag rotates the view.
  7. Undo & reset:Undo move reverses your last turn. Reset returns the cube to its completed state and clears the timer and move count. Your artwork stays.
  8. Hint:Follow the moving yellow arrow on the highlighted layer, or tap the arrow to take one guided step. The next hint appears after every turn. Hint mode stays on until you turn it off.
  9. Turns left:The number shows how many turns remain along the hint route. It updates after each turn and reaches zero when all six faces are solved. It is not the shortest possible solution. A dash means the saved turn history is unavailable.
  10. Goal:Restore all six pictures, including the direction of every sticker and, on odd-sized cubes, every center. The whole cube may face any direction. The timer stops when solved.
  11. Solve:Tap Solve to watch the cube turn back through your moves and the starting shuffle, one turn at a time. The colored dots follow the same turns. Your artwork and cube size stay the same. The timer pauses, and your move count stays visible. Reset starts a fresh attempt with a zero counter and timer.
  12. Normal Cube:Open Normal Cube in the gallery. Swipe the six-color cube and watch the colored dots move in the three circle groups above it. The six groups of colored dots show all six faces. When a layer turns, its colored dots travel along the highlighted circle into the next face. Dots are never copied or hidden. The turned face also rearranges its own dots. Drag the background to look around. Start mixes the cube; Reset restores it.
  13. Publish:Choose Publish, enter a name, then choose Publish cube. Open or copy the dedicated play URL. It keeps that finished artwork, so you can continue drawing and publish another version.
  14. Gallery:New cubes require administrator approval before appearing here. Your individual play link is available immediately. Scroll down and tap another child’s cube to play it. Each player keeps their own progress.
Keyboard controls

U, D, L, R, F and B turn the outer layers. Hold Shift to reverse. On odd-sized cubes, M, E and S turn the middle layers; x, y and z rotate the whole cube. These directions follow the cube's fixed axes, not the viewing angle.

Your progress saves automatically in this browser. Start's mixing turns and whole-cube rotations do not count as moves. The timer pauses when you edit or leave the page.

The 3D view needs an internet connection and WebGL.
